Privacy Policy
Effective September 4, 2026
LifeMeld brings sensitive parts of life together. This policy explains what information the service uses, why it is needed, who can receive it, and how you can control it.
Information you provide
LifeMeld stores information you choose to add so the service can work, including:
- Account information such as your email address, optional profile phone number, and display name
- Tasks, reminders, dates, budgets, Melds, milestones, and collaboration details
- Documents, pasted text, and files you upload
- Questions, instructions, and feedback you send to MINA or LifeMeld
A phone number added during account creation or in profile settings is optional contact information. LifeMeld does not use it for sign-in or send a verification message for it. A profile phone number is not treated as proof that you own it.
RSVP invitations and guest information
When you create an RSVP event, LifeMeld collects information that invited guests submit through your invitation link, such as their name, contact information, attendance response, meal or dietary preferences, accessibility needs, and messages to the host. Guests do not need a LifeMeld account to respond. This information is shared with the host who created the event and is retained for as long as the event or the host's account remains active. A guest who wants their response corrected or removed can contact the host directly or email us at support@lifemeldai.com.
Shared expenses, loans, and invitations
When you split an expense or record a personal loan, LifeMeld stores the description, amount, split method, and the settlement history of that item. This information is visible only to the people you add to that specific expense or loan — never to anyone else, and never mixed with your personal budget.
If you add someone by email or phone number who does not yet have a LifeMeld account, LifeMeld sends them an invitation email, or generates a secure invitation link for you to share yourself (LifeMeld does not send a text message for this). That link lets them see only the specific item they were invited to, and expires after a period of time or if you revoke it. Once they sign in, the pending item is attached to their account.
If MINA suggests a repayment plan to a borrower, that suggestion is based only on that person's own personal budget and is shown only to them. The other person in the loan sees a proposed repayment amount and date only if the borrower explicitly chooses to share it, and never sees the borrower's budget or how the suggestion was calculated.
Connected services
If you choose to connect Google, LifeMeld may retrieve the account, Calendar, and Gmail information needed to build your daily snapshot. Connecting Google is optional. You can disconnect it from Account & integrations. LifeMeld does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
AI processing by OpenAI and your permission
LifeMeld uses OpenAI, LLC as its third-party AI processing provider. Before the first AI request from a device, LifeMeld shows a disclosure and asks for your permission. If you choose “Not now,” that request is not sent. You can revoke permission below; LifeMeld will ask again before a later AI request.
Depending on the feature you choose, LifeMeld sends OpenAI your question, instruction, or text to translate; relevant account context such as selected tasks, Meld and event details, budget summaries, or document excerpts; and a file or image only when you choose an AI feature that analyzes it, such as a receipt or uploaded document. OpenAI uses that information to generate the requested answer, plan, extraction, translation, or other result.
LifeMeld does not sell this information or use private content to train a LifeMeld-owned model. MINA can be inaccurate, so review suggestions before relying on them. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share.
AI sharing permission on this device: Not allowed
If permission is not allowed, LifeMeld will ask before the next AI request and will not send that request unless you agree.
Optional voice input and read aloud
Voice input is optional. It activates after you press the microphone button, or while the opt-in Hey MINA feature is enabled and LifeMeld is visible. Hey MINA stops listening when the app or browser tab is hidden. Your browser or device speech service transcribes the audio into text. In MINA, LifeMeld places that transcript in the composer so you can review or edit it before sending. LifeMeld does not intentionally keep an audio recording. Read aloud uses your browser or device speech service to speak MINA's response. Availability and speech processing behavior can vary by browser and operating system.
Analytics and service activity
LifeMeld records limited service activity, such as feature usage, AI credit counts, security events, and technical diagnostics. We use this information to operate the service, prevent abuse, understand reliability, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers needed to run LifeMeld, such as hosting, database, email, analytics, connected-service, and AI processing providers, including OpenAI for AI processing; with people you explicitly invite to a Meld, household, roommate space, shared expense, or personal loan; when required by law; or to protect users and the service. Invited participants can access information allowed by the role shown before you invite them, or, for a shared expense or loan, only the details of that specific item. LifeMeld requires service providers that receive personal information to protect it under contractual terms and safeguards that provide the same or equal protection described in this policy, and limits their use to providing services to LifeMeld.
Storage, security, and retention
LifeMeld uses access controls, encrypted network connections, and account-scoped database rules to protect information. On supported native devices, authentication sessions are stored using the operating system credential store.
To provide limited offline access, the app may retain recently loaded task and Meld summaries on your device. It does not include document contents or financial details, and the cache is removed when you sign out. Protect your device with a passcode and enable Face ID or Touch ID in LifeMeld settings.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain account content while your account is active and as needed for legitimate security, legal, backup, and operational obligations. Backup copies may take additional time to expire after deletion.
Your choices and rights
From Account & integrations you can update your profile, disconnect Google, export your account data, and permanently delete your account. You can also delete individual tasks, documents, budget entries, and Meld information in the product.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.
Children
LifeMeld is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.
International processing and changes
LifeMeld and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
